Repertoire

Our Musical Heritage

Our repertoire spans 1,500 years of liturgical music. At its core is Gregorian chant (ancient Latin melodies of the Mass and Office). We also sing Renaissance polyphony by composers like Palestrina, and Romantic-era Mass settings by Haydn, Mozart and Charpentier. Both Redemptorist composers (such as

Broeder Anselmus CssR (C.Bonten)) and non-Redemptorist composers (such as the 19th-century Hubert Cuypers and Anton van Dalen) are part of our heritage. Modern sacred works – by both Catholic and contemporary Dutch composers – keep our programs fresh. By blending chant with polyphony, we create a musical tapestry that honors every era of church music.

Our Recordings

To share our music more widely, we plan to produce recordings of key liturgical works performed at Mass. For example, at Christmas services our choir has sung Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit and Mozart’s Coronation Mass, pieces that may one day feature on future albums.

At present, no recordings are available for sale. However, this may change in the future as we explore ways to make our music more accessible. In the meantime, listeners can enjoy our performances live at services. In this way, we continue to bring the beauty of Gregorian chant and classical choral repertoire to all who wish to listen.
